Its Holy Week...

Here we are at Holy week.. If you haven't gone for Reconciliation, here are the parishes in S'pore with Penitential Services this final week before Good Friday:

Tonight (2/4/2007) at 8pm: Novena Church, St Anthony's church & St Anne's church

Tomorrow (3/4/07) at 8pm: St Vincent de Paul's church & St Teresa's church

If you've already gone for confession, then pass on this info to someone you know who hasn't gone yet..

And just wanna share the song really touched me years ago when i first heard it and it touched me again when i listened to it this Lent.

Aiya... Can't figure how to play the song  .. so here's the link!

When God Ran

Almighty God, the great I am
Immovable rock, omnipotent, powerful, awesome Lord
Victorious warrior, commanding King of Kings
Mighty conqueror, and the only time
the only time I ever saw Him run

CHORUS:
Was when He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said
"My sons come home again"
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
"Son do you know I still love you?"

He caught me by surprise when God ran

The day I left home I knew Id broken His heart
And I wondered then if things could ever be the same
Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see
It was the only time
it was the only time I ever saw Him run

And then He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said
"My sons come home again"
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
"Son do you know I still love you?"

He caught me by surprise as He brought me to my knees
When God ran
I saw Him run to me

BRIDGE:
I was so ashamed, all alone and so far away
But now I know He
s been waiting for this day

I saw Him run to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said
"My sons come home again"
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again

He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said
"My sons come home again"
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
"Son"
, He called me Son
He said,
"Son do you know I still love you?"

He ran to me and then I ran to Him
When God ran

Hummrph...

My supervisor is going Germany on a business trip next week... So is my boss... my colleague (who's also a fresh-grad like moi) is going Japan at the end of the year and a few others are going to the States this June... Found out another 'fresh grad' colleague from another department has been to Washington, London and is flying off to Shanghai soon (and we have both worked for the same number of months...)

josie posie's external response to all this travelling is, "All the best... *diplomatic smile* Have fun."

josie posie's internal response , "i want to go too..." *whine* Not fair. *sulk*

Its a good thing i have a tub of Ben & Jerry's 'Phish food' at home... its a bad thing that i have been steadily putting on weight. Boo.

But... its the season of Easter. Don't be a brat.

Be happy.

Back from meeting... Help.

Sometimes you just need a generous scope of Ben & Jerry's ice cream to make you feel a little better... but sometimes you are at work and thus rather far away from the much needed scope of Ben & Jerry's...

i want phish food... *whine*

Taking a breather...

Have been so incredibly busy these past few days/weeks that my life's a blur... rushing stuff at work, coming home late, knocking out completely at night and oversleeping in the morning... my cab bills are going to hit an all time high.

Doesn't seem like the work load gonna lessen anytime soon (maybe it'l even get more intense as projects are coming in..) hmm... but think i should try to have at least 9hrs sleep every night, been having perpetual headaches in late afternoon/evening. i wonder if this is the rat race life people talk about... but i don't think i'm racing against anybody.. maybe just time.

Well, one nice thing that made my day today was that a colleague returned from a holiday in China and got us all little keychains. I'm normally quite neutral about souvenirs cos they're all kinda generic but this one is real cute! She bought a collection of keychains with the Olympics mascots and i picked Jingjing, the adorable giant panda!

Check this out, the 5 Olympic Chinese mascots:

(will insert pic at home)

From L to R, there's "Beibei," the fish, "Jingjing," the giant panda, "Huanhuan," the Olympic flame (weird, i know...), "Yingying," the Tibetan antelope, and "Nini," the swallow.

Placed together, the names form "Beijing huanying ni" - "Beijing welcomes you". Kinda cute rite.

Only bad thing is that the keychain is made of glass... sigh.. so clumsy me can't really use it for my keys... sigh...

Back to work... having meeting in a while.
